It would not be fair to society if I don’t take the time to apologize for the lack of knowledge, lack of respect, and the minimization that women have been subject to since the beginning of time. Marginalize, excluded, and cast aside with a misogynic idea created in the sole intent to put them in an inferior state. I sincerely apologize to all mothers that had to sacrifice their life goal and dream to stay home to raise a family just because an egotistic man wanted to claim a useless glory. I apologize to every woman that had to give up their opinion, creation, and invention just because of the cruelty of a society that those not appreciate them for who they are. Susan B Anthony said, “The day may be approaching when the whole world will recognize woman as the equal of man.” I will follow with when will that be?
Women have been the mothers, the fighters that stood and defend the cause of those that are not able to, history can attest, yet they are the one that being suppress, gaged off for the simple fact that they are women. Women have been in prison by the oppressor that make them believe that they are powerful, strong, and indispensable while in reality there is nothing that a man can do that a woman cannot. Here is a better way to put it by borrowing the pen of Susan B Anthony “I declare to you that woman must not depend upon the protection of man but must be taught to protect herself, and there I take my stand.”
Many times, I’ve said there would have never been an Obama without a Michelle. While being racially bullied, I am certain that she stood by him and share is thought whenever it was needed. We can all admit that there would have never been a Bill Clinton without a Hilary Clinton that stood by him in the darkest hours of his presidency. We have been beneficiary of their kindness and care, yet they have been looking down upon. We go around the world claiming that we are made equal, yet in our backyard, we are using all sort of politic and tricks to prevent women to be at their highest pedestal. It is very important that we kill this destructive ego and understand that we are all created equal. It is time we stop with a statement such as she is a woman, she will never be president or she doesn’t have the strength to face the pseudo powerful opponent. Women have been leaders since the dawn of time. It is time that we prioritize the individual valor based on moral quality. It is time that we estimate one’s capability by measuring the consistency and energy that bring to realize what is good. We must be able to set aside our differences to build this utopian world that we dream of.
In a proper society where love governs, then there is no need for feminist, or black life matter movement to bring forth what is due. We as a society, we must take ownership of the bad action that those that came before us did and only then will we be able to bring forth that utopia that we dream of. I sincerely apologize, there I stand.
